By proceeding with your booking on Drive, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following checkout terms and conditions.


1. Marketplace / Intermediation Only

Drive Car Rental, Inc. (“Drive”) operates solely as a booking marketplace and intermediation platform. Drive is not a car rental company and does not own, manage, or operate vehicles, employ or control drivers, or directly provide rental services.

Drive’s role is limited to helping you search, compare, and reserve vehicles offered by independent third-party local car rental companies (“Rental Providers”). The actual rental service is provided by the Rental Provider, and the rental agreement is concluded directly between you and that Rental Provider.


2. Payments and Fees

Any payment made through this website at checkout is not the full rental price. The amount collected on Drive is a marketplace fee and reservation fee for using the platform to search, compare, and reserve a vehicle.

The Rental Provider remains the merchant of record for the car rental service. The remaining rental balance, if any, is payable directly to the Rental Provider at pick-up or as otherwise stated in your booking confirmation.

The reservation amount paid on Drive will be deducted by the Rental Provider from the total rental amount, as reflected in your booking confirmation and/or the Rental Provider’s rental agreement.


3. Rental Provider Terms

Your rental is subject to the terms displayed during booking and to the Rental Provider’s own rental agreement. In the event of any conflict, the booking confirmation terms and/or the Rental Provider’s rental agreement will govern the execution of the rental service.


4. Customer Responsibilities

You are responsible for ensuring that you meet all rental eligibility requirements, including but not limited to:

  • Providing a valid driving licence and any required identification documents
  • Meeting minimum age requirements
  • Arriving at the agreed pick-up time and location
  • Complying with the Rental Provider’s rental agreement and booking conditions

5. Cancellation and Refund Policy

5.1 Marketplace / Platform Fee

The marketplace/platform fee charged by Drive for intermediation and reservation facilitation is non-refundable, including in cases of cancellation, no-show, booking changes, or any other reason, except where mandatory consumer protection laws apply.

5.2 Reservation Fee

The reservation fee may be refunded only in limited circumstances, specifically where:

  • The Rental Provider is unable to perform the booked service; and
  • Drive Support does not provide an alternative that the customer could reasonably accept.

A reasonable alternative may include:

  • An equivalent booking under the same conditions
  • An upgrade at the same price
  • A paid upgrade option that the customer may choose to accept

If these refund conditions are met, the reservation fee will be refunded to the original payment method.

5.3 No Refund Situations

No refund of the reservation fee will apply where the issue is caused by the customer, including but not limited to:

  • No-show at the scheduled pick-up time or place
  • Failure to provide required documents
  • Failure to meet licence or age requirements
  • Refusal to sign the Rental Provider’s standard rental agreement
  • Breach of booking terms or Rental Provider conditions
5.4 Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method. Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider and the customer’s bank.


6. Liability Disclaimer

Because Drive does not operate vehicles or provide the rental service directly, the Rental Provider is solely responsible for:

  • The condition, safety, and roadworthiness of vehicles
  • Insurance coverage and claims handling, where applicable
  • Vehicle delivery, pick-up, and on-ground customer service
  • Any accidents, injuries, theft, loss, or damages arising from the rental

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Drive shall not be liable for any injury, accident, loss, claim, damage, delay, cancellation, or other issue arising before, during, or after the vehicle rental period.


7. Booking Confirmation

By completing checkout, you confirm that:

  • The booking information you provided is accurate and complete
  • You understand that Drive is a marketplace/intermediation platform only
  • You agree to the applicable booking terms and the Rental Provider’s rental agreement
  • You accept the refund, cancellation, and liability terms stated above
